In brief

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has extended its economic empowerment program in Deir Al-Balah, Gaza Strip, targeting 1,000 vulnerable individuals, including people with disabilities. Beneficiaries report increased self‑reliance, skill acquisition, and psychological support, expressing thanks to Saudi Arabia for restoring hope amid crisis.

On November 7, 2026, KSrelief announced the continuation of its economic empowerment initiative in Deir Al-Balah, Gaza Strip, training 1,000 vulnerable residents, including persons with disabilities, in digital vocational skills, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) at 20:56 GMT.

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center operated the program in partnership with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, part of Saudi Arabia’s campaign to support Palestinian communities amid ongoing crisis and displacement.

MLD"s beneficiaries claimed the training helped them make productive use of their time, equip them for self‑reliance, and launch small businesses; they credited the effort with restoring hope while living in tents and offering a dignified source of livelihood.

They noted that the training equipped them with skills to provide for their families, along with psychological support and practical experience that enable them to launch their own businesses and achieve self‑reliance.

A representative of a beneficiary community reported the program’s psychological support helped residents cope with the hardships of life in the Strip, stating the initiative “offers not merely temporary assistance but also a source of livelihood that preserves dignity.”

KSrelief highlighted that the support is part of the Kingdom’s steadfast commitment to Palestinian people, applying humanitarian values and missions amid the Gaza crisis.
